Hospital oxygen plant process starts with intake of ambient air in the air compressor. Thereupon, the process is filtered and is directed into the purification unit for removal of impurities such as carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons and moisture. PSA nitrogen working principle starts with the compression and filtration of the atmospheric air. Then, the processed air passes though one of the adsorption twin towers. The towers contain carbon molecular sieve (CMS) as adsorbing materials. As the feed air goes through the CMS oxygen molecules are adsorbed in the sieve while nitrogen gas is allowed to pass through as a product gas with specified level of purity. However, when the CMS in one tower is saturated with oxygen the air starts to pass through the other tower while the former one is regenerated. This is the complete PSA process for production for nitrogen gas.

PSA oxygen generator plant is manufactured with adsorption technology and world-class materials to produce oxygen with purity up to 95%. PSA plants are available in sizes ranging from 2m3/hr to 200m3/hr depending upon your requirements. However, oxygen generated in the PSA machines could either be piped directly to the wards from the oxygen tank or it could be compressed to fill cylinders through a supplemental booster compressor and a cylinder filling manifold.

Working of the PSA plant process starts with air passing though one of the twin vessels. The adsorbing material inside the vessel is called ZEOLITE. When the air passes through the adsorbing tower the nitrogen molecules are stuck into the ZEOLITE surface allowing oxygen to pass through the vessel as a product gas with the desired level of purity. When the 1st adsorbing tower is saturated with nitrogen compressed air is passed through the 2nd vessel while the former vessel undergoes regeneration. This way the PSA process concentrates high purity oxygen for applications in wide range of applications including medical.
